As part of the Rome-Med Dialogues 2023, ISPI (Italian Institute for International Political Studies) launched the seventh edition of the “Youth Forum”, with the support of the UNDP Rome Center, the OECD Training Center on Public Governance, Youth4Climate, the Union of Mediterranean Universities(UNIMED) and the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC Foundation).
The goal is to bring together 15-20 talented young people from countries in the region to develop a collective document containing actionable policy proposals and recommendations addressed to governments and institutions on both sides of the Mediterranean.
The Forum will be held on Nov. 1, and the selected candidates will be able to attend the MED Dialogues work on the following days (Nov. 2-4).
The document will have the function of offering visibility to the demands of the new generations on climate issues: it will be shared with high-level political representatives present at the Rome 2023 Mediterranean Dialogues and could also be presented at COP28 in Dubai, in a dedicated event at the Italian pavilion.
Young talent from the region will be able to apply by submitting an updated CV and a short video presentation of their profile and ideas.
Young people between 21 and 35 years of age, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, from North African, Middle Eastern, or European countries (see link below for a bulleted list of countries), and with an excellent level of English may apply.
Evaluation criteria, application procedures (deadline September 1, 2023) and all other details of the initiative are available at the following link:
