On September 9th, 2019, Adriatic LNG celebrated in Venice the 10th anniversary of the regasification activities of its terminal located off Veneto’s coast in Porto Levante – Rovigo, which supplies around 10% of the national gas consumption and contributes to the energy transition towards more sustainable sources.
Adriatic LNG terminal is one of the most important regasification infrastructures in Europe and plays a significant role in the diversification process of supply sources in Italy, increasing the security of the national energy system.
The ceremony in Venice was attended by many Authorities and by ExxonMobil, Snam and Qatar Petroleum (QP) representatives, including H.E. Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, the Minister of Energy of the State of Qatar and CEO of QP. The event was also the occasion to celebrate the excellent cooperation between Italy and Qatar, of which Adriatic LNG Terminal represents a significant example.
