H.E. the Minister of Transport and Communications of the State of Qatar, Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, held talks today with the Secretary General of the Italian Ports Association (ASSOPORTI) Mr. Franco Mariani. The meeting was attended by H.E. the Ambassador of Italy to Qatar, Pasquale Salzano.
During the meeting the Parties discussed how to strengthen cooperation between Italy and Qatar in the field of ports in order to open new horizons for the exchange of expertise and investments between Italian and Qatari ports, in addition to establishing effective forms of collaboration in the field of maritime works. They also discussed cooperation in ports management and operations, personnel training and skill development, exchange of ideas and best practices on ports productivity improvement.
