The Italian company Saipem won a 1.3 billion dollars contract in Qatar. It consists in laying some submarine pipelines for transport of methane gas, whose activities Saipem is global leader. The principal contract implies some accessorial orders related to the realization of platforms and changes in existent facilities both offshore and on land.
The contract is part of a project that will increase the Qatar daily capacity of gas production by 60 million of cubic meters, for domestic consume.
