New 2nd Level Master’s Program “Techniques for the Analysis, Identification and Evaluation of Mineral Deposits” – University of Turin
The Embassy of Italy in Doha is pleased to share the following study opportunity in Italy for those who may be interested, offered by the Universities of Turin, Genoa, Naples, Calabria, Catania, Cagliari, Padua, Chieti, and Ferrara, in collaboration with the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources of the National Research Council (CNR), the National Council of Geologists, and the European Federation of Geologists.
This program has been developed in view of to the most recent European and international policies on sustainability, energy transition, and the supply of Critical Raw Materials, with the goal of training highly qualified professionals in the field of mineral georesources.
The Master’s program (taught in English) offers a multidisciplinary educational approach, integrating:
- Field activities
- Specialized laboratory training
- Online lectures by university professors and industry experts
- A two-month internship with companies in the mining and exploration industry to promote professional integration
Program Structure
To complete the program, students must acquire 60 ECTS, distributed as follows:
- Mixed-mode coursework: 40 ECTS
- Mandatory internship: 16 ECTS
- Final Project Work: 4 ECTS
This program is aimed at graduates with a Master’s degree (or equivalent degree under the previous academic system) in geology, engineering, or related fields, who are motivated to undertake advanced professional training in the mineral resources sector.
