The Ambassador of Italy to the State of Qatar, H.E. Pasquale Salzano, received yesterday the award \u201cMan of the Year\u201d from Grazia Qatar magazine, during the gala evening \u201cGrazia Style Awards 2018\u201d on the theme \u201cCelebrating Qatar\u201d.<\/p>\n
Grazia recognized the Ambassador commitment to facilitating cultural cooperation and dialogue between Italy and Qatar and positively promoting the image of the Country trough art and culture.<\/p>\n
The Editor in Chief of Grazia Qatar, Bianca Brigitte Bonomi, explained with the following words the award to Ambassador Salzano:<\/p>\n
Up next, one of the biggest awards of the night for Grazia\u2019s Man of the Year. The recipient of this prestigious Editor\u2019s Choice Award has had an epic 12 months. A career diplomat, this Ambassador has made his mark since arriving in Doha in April last year. He has greatly contributed to encouraging dialogue and cooperation between Italy and Qatar, is a leading advocate for the promotion of Italian culture, and, as the team at Grazia all agree, he is the embodiment of Italian style.<\/em><\/p>\n He has led the way with initiatives in sport, healthy eating, business and has also shown support to the local fashion industry, facilitating the participation of Italian designers and artisans at the recent Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition. Under his guidance, the Embassy also organized the Italian Design Day in Doha last March and more recently the exhibition Shapes of Water, which featured the work of a Qatari female artist. To present this award, I\u2019d like to welcome Reem Acra back to the stage. Our Man of the Year is, of course, The Ambassador of Italy to the State of Qatar, H.E.
