The Minister of Transport and Communication, H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, and the Secretary General of the Qatar National Tourism Council, as well as CEO of Qatar Airways, H.E. Akbar Al Baker, welcomed today – with the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Pasquale Salzano – the Italian cruise ship “Costa Mediterranea”, which arrived in Doha for its maiden voyage to Qatar.
The arrival of the “Costa Mediterranea” follows the signing of an agreement reached last September by the Qatar National Tourism Council and Costa Cruises. According to the agreement the cruise ship “Costa Diadema” – current flagship of the Italian company – will arrive in Doha sixteen times during 2019-2020. Symbol of style, comfort and Italian luxury, and expression of the best know-how in terms of technology, Costa Cruises’ ships will contribute significantly in the next few months to increase the touristic flows to Qatar.
