The Qatari Ministry of Culture visits the exposition “The Shapes of Water”

The Ministry of Culture and Sport of the State of Qatar, H.E. Salah Al Ali, visited the exhibition “The Shapes of Water”, a survey on social design and product design projects related to different uses of water, organized by the Embassy of Italy in Doha with La Triennale di Milano at the Msheireb Enrichment Centre.

Accompanied by the Ambassador of Italy to the State of Qatar, H.E. Pasquale Salzano, the Minister appreciated the artworks of a selection of international artists from various Countries in the area, including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. On show is also the work of the young Qatari interior designer Shaikha Al Sulaiti. Her art piece, named “Msheireb Light”, is a symbolic representation of Qatar’s support to the concept of truth, clarity and transparency.

This special travelling exhibition – part of a broader regional tour, whose Doha represents the first destination – is focused on the themes of environmental sustainability and water, presented as a bond – not as source of division – between peoples and aims to return to the authentic social and civil concept at the core of design. The exposition enhances art as an effective tool to promote the culture of respect and tolerance.
